PROPERTY developer Tan & Tan Developments Bhd has launched the Hatten apartments, its complete starter home at Belimbing Heights in an attempt to meet the demands of the young professional market segment in the country.

The Hatten, developed by the company's subsidiary Belimbing Hills Sdn Bhd, has all the qualities of a complete starter home – affordability, comfort, quality, practicality and a condominium lifestyle – which is ideal for first time buyers and growing families moving up the property ladder.

The development comprises a 16-storey block of 248 three-bedroom apartment units. The standard units of between 926 sq ft and 1,076 sq ft have seven elegant but practical designs to choose from.

The selling price of the apartments start from RM117,000 per unit. Tan & Tan marketing and sales director K.C. Chong said there was a difference between a cheap house and a starter home and Hatten belonged to the latter category.

''These homes give a good start to buyers. It is something more practical that comes close to their aspirations of a perfect home,'' Chong said.

As a complete starter home, purchasers of the Hatten apartments can save on unnecessary renovations and additions as every apartment is provided with kitchen cabinets and wardrobes in all bedrooms.

In addition, facilities such as a swimming pool, sundecks, a wooded park as well as management and security services are also provided.

The freehold development is expected to be completed in May 2004, thus purchasers only have to wait another year instead of the usual 36 months for a new apartment.

The Hatten apartments are part of the 6.15-acre Belimbing Heights project being developed by the company. Belimbing Heights lies 20km south of Kuala Lumpur, within the vicinity of Seri Kembangan, Balakong and Serdang.

It is easily accessible from both Jalan Sungai Besi and the Cheras-Kajang Highway.

Leisure facilities such as The Mines Resort City, Palace of the Golden Horses and the Selangor Turf Club are also located within the vicinity.
